Baby T'ucks and D'ty Bums
Submitted by Craig and Jennie on Sun, 04/12/2009 - 21:29We have been the traveling Hokansons once again. It seems spring time takes us all over every year. We recently spent a week at Lake Tahoe with Jennie's parents and siblings. We haven't all been in one place in three years. It was really nice to reconnect. Then Jennie, Amber, Kinzi and Hayden took Grandma Carol down south for a few days with the Aunts and Uncles. Long, tiring and so much fun! Hayden and Kinzi still have a love/hate relationship, which at two means they adore each other.
Weee Ooos
Submitted by John and Alicia on Mon, 04/06/2009 - 21:06Hyrum has discovered vehicles that make loud sounds and have bright flashing lights. He spends his time in the car on the lookout for Weee Oooos and makes sure everyone in the car is aware of the presence of one. He and Derek like to chase each other around with the little match-box versions they have. I am reminded of Derek's fascination with sirened-cars when he was that age. It's so cute to watch Hyrum really learning to imagine and play now. It's also nice to see the other kids include him and think of him as one of them.

Poisoned Apples and Goat Poo!
Submitted by John and Alicia on Fri, 03/27/2009 - 09:27I love the new header. That picture of Liberty and Kimber dancing is so sweet. And doesn't the other one catch tons of personality. Thanks again Craig for your efforts on this blog. I love reading the posts.
A short bragging moment
Submitted by Craig and Jennie on Wed, 03/25/2009 - 13:31I had to show you what I made today, since I got the idea from Andrea! I took an apron that she made me and patterned an apron for Kinzi (she had her 2nd birthday this week) and one for Hayden from a pair of kids jeans I bought at Goodwill for $2 and the price of some bias tape. Here they are!
Space Travel and Triplets (goats, that is)
Submitted by John and Alicia on Thu, 03/19/2009 - 20:42This week began with a trip to Cape Canaveral to watch the shuttle Discovery launch. It was so amazing to see, hear and feel the power of that much rocket fuel. It was beautiful, especially because it launched just as the sun went down. Worth the drive and the wait from Wednesday for sure.
PNW (Pacific North West) Drill Team
Submitted by Dad and Mom on Mon, 03/16/2009 - 20:36I had a great time at PNW this weekend. We got first in prop (below) and dance, and second in military and novelty. We were going against all the 2- and 3-A teams, which was about six others. We had some tough competition, so I am very pleased with our placings. This is my favorite competition, and I had a great time. It was also really fun to see the other teams; this is a big competition that brings in some good ones. My favorite was Bonneville, Utah. They were AMAZING!!! There were six of us in the top ten for drill down, unfortunately I didn'
Appliques and Andrea
Submitted by Craig and Jennie on Fri, 03/13/2009 - 14:08To let you know, our ward sewing group learned how to do appliques this week. The how-tos and other info are at http://tracyladiessewing.blogspot.com/. Feel free to take a look and try it out. I can't wait to show off the finished product, when I get the camera cable back from my friend in Utah. Guess that means I'll just have to make another trip... :) Actually I'm planning on going in April to see her. She has baby #2 coming and needs the help.
Firth & Shelley Roll on
Submitted by Dad and Mom on Sun, 03/08/2009 - 15:57Saturday was the State Championship Basketball games for Firth & Shelley. They were at the Idaho Center in Nampa. Ashely performed with the Drill Team Thursday and Saturday, Mom and I stayed home to hold down the fort. It was a good day for both Firth and Shelley as they both brought home State Championship trophies. Firth had a nail biter on their hands, Aberdeen played very well but we beat them by 7 to claim the 3rd title in a 3 years, an almost unheard of feat for High School basketball in Idaho. We will have a very good team returning n
