Crazy Week

We have had a hot and crazy week. Yesterday was in the 90's and very humid. We also had a wind storm last night. Anyway, this week has kept us running. True's Grandma Stott from St. George came to visit for the week so we spent a lot of time with her. Also, the Stake is taking all the youth on a Trek starting tomorrow and they are all required to wear skirst and blouses or dresses. One of the Laurels in my class (I am the Laurel Advisor in the ward) was telling me how she was sad because she didn't have anything to wear and didn't know how to sew. I told her if she wanted I would help her make a skirt and blouse and bonnet. She was very excited and came over last Saturday to begin. She got most ofher skirt done and was going to come back on Monday to do more. It turned out they were supposed to have all their stuff done for their Mutual activity on Wednesday so I eneded up sewing the blouse and bonnett myself. It seemed like a simple patteren  but took much longer than I anticipated so I spent most of the day Teus. and Wes. sewing. Then I spent Thursday keeping Liberty awake as we are trying out skipping her naps in hopes that she goes to bed earlier at night (8:00 instead of 11:00). Friday was spent in Ontario running errands and getting groceries. Yesterday we through Amber, Luke's wife, and their new baby Dalli a baby shower. It turned out well. They blessed their baby today and it was a beautiful blessing.

Kimber has been saying some really funny things lately. Most of them involve some sort of geneology or something about babies. The latest goes like this: "Mommy, you are my baby"."Oh!, really?" "Yes, you used to be in my tummy a long time ago".  "Really, do you remember that?" "Yes" "How did you get me out?" "I went to the doctor." "How did he get me out?" "Um, I don't know. ....... I pushded and I pushded (with a big smile on her face!)."

Anyway, I guess she picks up quite a bit when I don't think she is listening.

Liberty's new phrase is "That's cute" referring to anything she is looking at in the moment. True found a little water snake yesterday and put it in a jar for the girls to admire and this morning Liberty was carying it saying "Cute snake". Yeah, she might turn out to be a tom-boy. We also found a baby mink the other day and caught it and put it in a hamster cage but it died the next day before we really got to look at it. It was sad.

I miss everyone and love you all. I hope Housten had a great 3rd birthday. We thought about you.
