Hyrum loves to "read" scriptures by copying the words we tell him from a verse.  We often pick verses with big words because it's so cute to hear his way of saying a word.  Last night was particularly adorable.  The verse was in Acts and there was a reference to the synagog.  He said "I see na doddies(doggies)".  We all had a hard time keeping a straight face, but I thought it was so cute, I'd share. 

To give another side of our little sweetie, here's a story of a really shocking fit the other day.  He was rather tired and maybe a bit hungry.  This, added to the frustration he was feeling at the moment in question, led to the following.  He didn't want his diaper on(I don't remember why) and had succeeded in ripping off one side.  He proceeded to the other side but found it not giving way.  This made him very angry whereupon he grabbed the diaper and tried to bite it off.  When this didn't work, he shook his leg and the diaper slid to the floor.  Sadly, his anger remained however, for he looked around to find something else to attack.  That's when he looked down and saw his little penis.  He grabbed it with both hands and leaned down as far as he could with his mouth open.  I have full confidence he would have actually bit himself had I not stopped him (and could he have actually reached.  Thank goodness nature has provided him a fail-safe eh!)  I couldn't help but laughing all the while being thankful he had not been able to accomplish his little deed.  This, unfortunately did not make him any happier, so he took after me, swinging.  I held out my hand to his forehead which prevented his fury to get me.  Again he looked around and discovered all the kitchen counters were quite available.  He took off smacking each one until the fit subsided.  (Let's just say, it was a rather rough day.  He was obviously very much in need of a nap and an early bedtime.)  I'm hopeful this is just a phase.  Goodness!!
