Firth Beauties, aren't they lovely. Someone gave all the girls big red plastic lips after the competition.
Ashely competed in the Inter Mountain Drill Team competition at Idaho Falls High School this past Saturday. She did very well in the Drill Down, taking Second Place among all of the schools there, she was joined in the top 5 by two of her teammates, Emily Killpack and Kayla Berg. Quite and accomplishment for the only 2A school there.
She was not feeling well most of the week and did not know until Saturday morning whether she would be able to compete. We gave her a blessing and she felt fine until the competition was over. Then her headache returned and she stayed home from Church today.
The Team competed against the larger 3A schools in 4 routines, Prop, Novelty, Dance and Military. They place 3rd in Dance, 2nd in Novelty and Military and 1st place in Prop. There were 5 schools in the 3A category, Firth, Shelley, Teton, Jakson Hole & Fruitland.
It is hard to believe that this school year is quickly drawing to a close and that Ashely will be graduating. She has really grown to love Lynette during these past 4 years.
PNW (Pacific North West) is in two weeks and then the State tournament at The Idaho Center in Nampa the following week. We are going to be able to see Andrea, True, Kimber and Liberty two weekends in a row.
