I guess this is better late than never. Here is the list for this year's Hokanson Family Book Club. Not all the books or months are set in stone so if you have a different or better suggestion, please let me know. Good luck with this month's. It is a book that I LOVE and the kids will love, too. It would be GOOD to check out a copy and read it. It would be BETTER if you purchased your own and it would be BEST if you wrote and highlighted and made notes in your copy. Look up any words you don't know in the dictionary and write them in. Write down the epiphanies (Ah, hah!

We've had a busy week. It has ended in a cold for me. True wend hunting Friday night and Saturday and had a lot of fun but didn't see any game. I was able to go to Jo Anne's and get some supplies for Christmas surprises. I have made the list for the Book Club but True wanted to look it over and suggest a different book than I suggested for him so I will be sending it out later tonight. Thank you all for your interest and book suggestions. We should have a great year of reading. Alicia, I'm glad you have potential renters and hope it works out for the best.

It souds like everyone is having a great month of October so far . Jared and Monica, congrats and I'm glad to hear it is official. I can't wait to see everyone at the wedding. Hello family. What a nice weekend for conference. It rained all day Saturday, which meant True didn't need to be out working and could stay inside and watch conference with us. It was great. I loved the talks and feeling the strength from the Brethren. My favorite quote was " Faith is not just a feeling, it is a decision". (I don't remember who said it.) It helped me realize I need to be doing more.

Happy Birthday America! Happy 4th of July! Jennie, congrats on the new calling. You will be a wonderful advisor and they will love you. Alicia, congrats on the crazy toe tricks. We have had a hot and crazy week. Yesterday was in the 90's and very humid. We also had a wind storm last night. Anyway, this week has kept us running. True's Grandma Stott from St. George came to visit for the week so we spent a lot of time with her. Also, the Stake is taking all the youth on a Trek starting tomorrow and they are all required to wear skirst and blouses or dresses. One of the Laurels in my class (I am the Laurel Advisor in the ward) was telling me how she was sad because she didn't have anything to wear and didn't know how to sew.

Hello family. Sean and Tyree, I'm glad you are now in the blogging world with us. Yesterday, Thursday, I made a few phone calls to find a ride for the girls and I to come visit Mom and Dad. I found one with True's aunt and uncle who were going to Logan for the weekend. Dad met us in Pocatello and we got here at about 11:00 to find Jennie and Mom and Ashley playing the Wii. How fun! Anyway, we are so glad to be here and visit for so many days. True will come next weekend and we will leave Sunday or Monday. Yahoo!!!!!!!!!
