Joys of selling a house

So, a realtor friend gave us some advice this week about selling the house.  She said we basically need to make the house look like one in a magazine, as though no one actually lives here.  Pretty overwhelming considering we DO live here and will need to still function as a family.  As a beginning, we sold most of the bookshelves and boxed up most of the books.  Needless to say, I'm enjoying the extra space and the lack of shelves needing to be dusted.  It's weird to be starting the moving process so soon though.

Garden time

I love spring.  We've had tons of birds at our feeders this week, so many that though we filled one of them this morning, it's nearly empty tonight.  Hyrum lives to stare out the kitchen window signing "bird" and watching the birds.  The only thing he likes more is to be out there with them.  He knows when we are going to bring him in and starts screaming and trying to get out of our arms.  He also loves to take a walk down the sidewalk and doesn't love to be brought back.  He has VERY strong opinions about how things should go.  We all ador

Yummy curry for Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all of my sisters and to Mom.  I know this is late, but I'm still getting the hang of this blogging idea.  I hope you all had a wonderful day and were treated to breakfast in bed:)  John made the most yummy curry, our Mother's Day tradition since it's my favorite food.  We had great company and great trifle to go with it after the great curry.  Our tummies and our souls were satisfied.
